International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Unions Representing 8,000 NH Members and Families Endorse Chris Pappas

In a strong show of support, all IBEW Local Unions representing New Hampshire membership – 104, 490, 2071, 1837, and 2320 – are standing with Chris Pappas for Senate. Chris is also receiving the support of IBEW Locals 103, 1505, and 2325 who have hundreds of IBEW members living in New Hampshire.

Today, all International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Unions representing members living and working in New Hampshire endorsed Chris Pappas for U.S. Senate. These local unions represent 8,000 New Hampshire members and their families who work in critical professions and industries. Pappas is also receiving the support of Local 103, 1505, and 2325.

“We are proud to stand with Chris Pappas because he stands with working people across New Hampshire,” said IBEW LOCAL 490 Business Manager Eric Batchelor. “Chris has always taken on the big fights and knows how to win. He pushed through tax cuts for working families, took on predatory companies and corporate polluters, and stood up to Big Pharma to lower the cost of prescription drugs. In the U.S. Senate, we know he will continue to work to strengthen our economy, lower costs, and look out for the middle class. That’s why we support Chris and are ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work. We know Chris, we trust him, and we’ll have his back because he’s always had ours.”

“I am honored to have the support of New Hampshire’s IBEW local unions, representing hardworking electricians, lineworkers, utility workers, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard personnel, and manufacturing and telecommunications workers,” said Congressman Chris Pappas. “These men and women do critical work powering homes and businesses across New Hampshire and keeping our communities safe, and I’m proud to stand with them. In the Senate, I will continue to lead the fight to protect worker’s rights, strengthen the middle class, and secure safer working conditions, higher wages, and better benefits for working people in New Hampshire. Unions helped build the middle class, and I am committed to ensuring that working people have a seat at the table and that their voices are heard in Washington.”

In Congress, Chris helped introduce the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, which would protect workers’ rights to bargain for fair wages, better benefits, and safe working conditions. He has also led the fight to push back against the Trump Administration’s efforts to end collective bargaining rights for federal employees.
