ICYMI: Chris Pappas Canvasses with Granite Staters Ahead of the Municipal Elections

MANCHESTER, NH — In case you missed it, Congressman Chris Pappas has been canvassing across the Granite State in support of local candidates in Berlin, Manchester, and Nashua ahead of the November municipal elections.

This weekend, he also met with Granite Staters at the annual PoutineFest in Merrimack, stopped by the Elliot Hospital collection site in Manchester for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, and visited the Teamsters Local Union 633 Monday morning to hear about the biggest issues facing New Hampshire.

Chris Pappas will continue working to lower costs for families, support our union brothers and sisters, and keep our communities safe.

Berlin

Earlier this month, Chris canvassed for Corinne Cascadden, the Democrat running to represent Coos District 5 in the special election for the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

Congressman Pappas joined local volunteers knocking doors and talking with voters about the importance of electing leaders like Corrine, who will put Granite State working families first.

Manchester

On Monday morning, Congressman Pappas joined Teamsters Local Union 633 in Manchester to meet with UPS drivers ahead of their morning shift.

Congressman Pappas is proud to be endorsed by Teamsters Local 633 in his race for Senate, and he will always stand up for New Hampshire’s workers and the unions that keep our economy and communities strong.

On Saturday, Congressman Pappas marked National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at the Elliot Hospital collection site in Manchester. These drop-off sites offer a safe, judgment-free place to dispose of unused or expired medication — a simple but critical step to keep our communities safe.

As a member of the Bipartisan Heroin and Opioid Task Force, Congressman Pappas has been a leading voice for evidence-based solutions to the opioid crisis. He’s fought to invest in prevention, treatment, and long-term recovery — and will keep pushing Washington to put people over politics in the fight against addiction.

Earlier this month, Congressman Pappas joined the Manchester Democrats for their municipal canvass kickoff, thanking volunteers for their work and encouraging Granite Staters to get out the vote in local races that directly impact their communities.

Nashua

Congressman Pappas joined the Nashua City Committee’s Municipal Canvass Kick-Off on Saturday morning and the New Hampshire Young Democrats on Sunday afternoon.

With local elections on November 4th, Granite Staters are once again showing the power of grassroots organizing. Congressman Pappas continues to stand with volunteers and neighbors mobilizing across New Hampshire to make every voice heard at the ballot box.

Merrimack

At the 10th annual PoutineFest in Merrimack, Congressman Pappas met with local vendors, nonprofit leaders, and community members celebrating New Hampshire’s French-Canadian roots and enjoying some of this classic comfort food.

Culturally, Granite Staters from across New Hampshire can trace their roots back to Canada, and the state’s economic relationship with Canada accounts for more than $3 billion in bilateral trade annually.

President Trump’s reckless decision to halt trade negotiations with Canada threatens New Hampshire’s businesses, economy, and thousands of jobs. Community celebrations like PoutineFest remind us why protecting this partnership is essential for both our heritage and our future.
