Chris Pappas for Senate Unveils Tax Cuts and Lower Costs Blueprint for New Hampshire

As Granite Staters Enter the Coldest Time of Year, Pappas Works To Lower Energy Costs for New Hampshire.

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Today, Congressman Chris Pappas’s campaign for U.S. Senate is rolling out the first plank of its Tax Cuts and Lower Costs Blueprint for New Hampshire to tackle the affordability crisis and address increasing energy costs. Pappas is taking on the corporate special interest groups who are raising prices and making it harder for Granite Staters to get ahead.

“Too many New Hampshire families are struggling to afford their everyday costs, and Granite Staters are being priced out — at the grocery store, the doctor’s office, and even in their own homes,” said Congressman Chris Pappas. “That’s why I’m taking on the big fights against the corporate special interests and the Trump Administration that are raking in profits at the expense of hardworking Granite Staters.”

Granite Staters are facing soaring energy costs, with electricity prices rising more than twice as fast as the cost of living. Tariffs on Canada threaten to drive up heating and gas costs, and the Trump Administration’s efforts to undermine renewable energy and give handouts to Big Oil are reducing affordable energy options that lower costs and boost job growth.

As we enter the coldest time of the year, Granite Staters need relief. That’s why Chris Pappas is working to lower energy costs for New Hampshire by pushing for energy tax cuts for the middle class, lowering utility bills for veterans and military families, and fighting to protect families who rely on LIHEAP to heat their homes in the winter.

Pappas is also working to establish commonsense ways to increase energy production and lower energy costs. He is standing up to the Trump Administration, which has spent the last year trying to roll back affordable energy tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act that would lower energy costs for small businesses and families.

This month the campaign is focused on highlighting what Chris Pappas is doing to address sky-high energy costs. The campaign will spend the next five months showcasing how Chris Pappas will take on anyone to do what’s best for New Hampshire — whether it’s corporate special interests or the Trump Administration — as he works to tackle the affordability crisis that is hurting Granite Staters.
