North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (NASRCC) Endorses Chris Pappas
NASRCC and Carpenters Local 352 and Local 349 Are Standing with Chris Pappas for Senate
MANCHESTER, NH — Today, the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (NASRCC), which includes Carpenters Local 352 and 349 and over 2,200 New Hampshire members in the construction and wood-products industries, endorsed Chris Pappas for U.S. Senate.
“Our union is proud to support Congressman Chris Pappas in his bid for U.S. Senate because he has been a consistent champion for organized labor and all the working men and women of Local 352,” said Blaine Hanson, President of Carpenters Local 352. “We know that we can always count on Chris to show up and stand up for all working people in New Hampshire and in Washington.”
“We are proud to endorse Chris Pappas for the United States Senate,” said Kim Hokanson, NASRCC Director of Contractor Relations. “He has shown a strong commitment to strengthening the workforce by expanding registered apprenticeship programs. At a time of rising college debt and growing demand for skilled labor, Congressman Pappas recognizes apprenticeships as a practical path to good careers and a more inclusive economy.”
“I am honored to stand with our brothers and sisters in labor and to have the support of the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters local unions,” said Congressman Chris Pappas. “The hardworking Granite Staters who build our businesses, communities, and critical infrastructure projects like the Route 1 bridge deserve fairer wages, stronger benefits, and safer working conditions, and that’s what I’ll continue fighting for in the U.S. Senate. Unions like NASRCC are essential to building New Hampshire’s future and I will always stand with them.”
In Congress, Chris helped introduce the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, which would protect workers’ rights to bargain for fair wages, better benefits, and safe working conditions. He has also led the fight to push back against the Trump Administration’s efforts to end collective bargaining rights for federal employees, and he supported the bipartisan Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act and the CHIPS and Science Act, which have spurred union jobs in New Hampshire.
