ICYMI: Chris Pappas, Granite State Victory Open Campaign’s First Field Office in Manchester

MANCHESTER, N.H. — In case you missed it, Congressman Chris Pappas recently celebrated the opening of the campaign’s first field office in Manchester alongside volunteers, community members, and local leaders. Speakers, including Congressman Pappas, State Senator Pat Long, and State Representative Matt Wilhelm highlighted the stakes of this election and emphasized the importance of grassroots organizing to tackle the affordability crisis and elect Democrats up and down the ballot this November.

The office is the first of many locations that Granite State Victory — the campaign to elect Chris Pappas and New Hampshire Democrats up and down the ballot — will open across New Hampshire. Volunteers will use the office as a hub to organize, make calls, knock doors, and connect with voters about Pappas’s record of delivering for working families and his plan to lower costs, protect fundamental freedoms, and stand up to Donald Trump and the corporate special interests backing his agenda.

“I’m talking to people all across the state of New Hampshire — from Coos County to the Seacoast — and everywhere I go, I hear the same thing: stuff is too damn expensive,” said Congressman Pappas. “People know that Donald Trump and Republicans in Washington are ignoring the things that they care about and are actually taking steps to make things worse and to jack up costs. And that’s why this campaign is so important. We’ve got to reestablish checks and balances from Concord to Washington, and make sure we can stand up to a reckless president who has no regard for the rule of law, for the Constitution, and for how people are living their lives right now.”

“I’ve heard [Chris] every year, and he’s fighting for what we’re looking for,” said State Senator Pat Long. “Housing, affordability, childcare. Those are the things that he’s been fighting for for years. So, my support is absolutely behind him. We need to organize and get Chris at the top, and the whole ballot, up and down.”

“Every conversation really matters, and in Chris’s race, in state house races all across the state, those one-on one-conversations are going to make the difference,” said State Representative Matt Wilhelm. “This is what we’re going to need to bring to this office and out to the neighborhoods across Manchester, across every community in the state, to make sure that Chris wins his really important election, making him the next U.S. Senator from New Hampshire. We need to make sure that our candidates up and down the ballot win their races.”
