“The Midterm GOP Run:” Sununu Dodges Questions on Iran, Trump

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Donald Trump’s handpicked Senate candidate, John Sununu, wants to ride the revolving door back to Washington. But when confronted about Trump’s reckless war in Iran, Sununu would rather run away than answer for his record.

New Hampshire voters deserve to know where their candidates for U.S. Senate stand on Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran, which is putting our servicemembers’ lives at risk and sending gas and diesel prices skyrocketing to record highs.

But Sununu would rather run away than face the truth: he has supported Trump’s war in Iran from the start, calling it “very effective,” a “success,” and “important and critical.” It’s no wonder Sununu would be such a staunch supporter — he is profiting from the conflict through investments in Big Oil.

Chris Pappas is fighting to end the war and lower costs for hardworking families. He has repeatedly voted to bring the conflict to a close, and is leading the effort to deliver much-needed relief for Granite Staters who are feeling the squeeze.

Pappas recently launched his FIGHT (Fighting Inflation, Gas prices, Health care cuts, and Trump’s tariffs) Tour, traveling across New Hampshire to hear directly from small businesses and families about the economic strain caused by the Trump-Sununu agenda.

The stakes of this Senate race couldn’t be higher. Reclaiming a Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate is critical to putting a check on Donald Trump’s abuse of executive power — and the road to that majority runs straight through New Hampshire.
