Chris Pappas for Senate Unveils “Country Before Party” Steering Committee of Republicans and Independents Who Are Endorsing the Campaign
MANCHESTER, N.H. — Today, Chris Pappas for Senate unveiled its “Country Before Party” steering committee of Republicans and Independents who are endorsing Pappas’s campaign to lower costs and create a freer, fairer future for New Hampshire. The coalition includes Don Bolduc, the 2022 Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, former Republican State Senator Rick Russman, and dozens of Granite Staters.
Chris Pappas has been ranked as one of the most bipartisan members of Congress and is a member of the bipartisan House Problem Solvers Caucus. He took on members of his own party to ban Congressional stock trading, worked across the aisle to pass the HALT Fentanyl Act, which includes a provision Pappas authored to permanently classify fentanyl as a Schedule 1 drug, and wrote the law to support the families of deceased veterans. He’s also secured millions of dollars in federal funds to modernize public safety, rebuild New Hampshire’s infrastructure, make meaningful investments in our communities, and to prioritize affordable housing solutions. John Sununu has spent years increasing his personal wealth and polishing his stock portfolio, while Pappas has been delivering for New Hampshire.
“Our country faces enormous challenges right now, and this is a moment for courage. I’m running for Senate because New Hampshire needs someone who will lower costs, who will put Granite Staters first, and who will get our state and country on a better path for a future,” said Congressman Chris Pappas. “I will always work with anyone to deliver for New Hampshire, and I’m grateful to have earned the support of Granite Staters across party and ideological lines who are ready to build a freer, fairer future for our state.”
“Chris Pappas’s unwavering dedication to our veterans and his efforts to foster bipartisan cooperation set him apart as a leader who will prioritize the needs of all constituents,” said Don Bolduc, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in 2022. “His ability to navigate the complex landscape of our economy, tackle the national debt with a steady hand, and work towards solutions that bridge divides is especially critical in today’s challenging political climate.”
“As a Republican for more than fifty years, I believe it’s important to say plainly: Donald Trump’s handpicked candidate, John Sununu, and the MAGA machine do not represent the Republican Party of our parents and grandparents. Fiscal responsibility. Supporting our troops. Strengthening American industry. Standing up for small businesses and the people who keep our communities running. Those are the values I believe in, and those are the values I see in Congressman Chris Pappas,” said former Republican State Senator Rick Russman. “Chris Pappas is an independent leader who will put New Hampshire first, stand up to his own party when necessary, and fight to make sure Granite Staters aren’t left paying the price for Donald Trump’s agenda. This election is about putting New Hampshire first, and that’s why I’m proud to support Chris Pappas for U.S. Senate.”
“I’m a proud veteran Army Ranger and Green Beret. I believe our elected officials have an obligation to put country and community before political loyalty. But Donald Trump has turned the Republican Party into something I no longer recognize, and John Sununu has made the choice to follow him rather than stand up for what is best for New Hampshire,” said veteran Army Ranger and Green Beret Jim Steiner. “Chris Pappas understands what public service is supposed to be. He listens, he works across the aisle to deliver for Granite Staters, and he puts New Hampshire ahead of Washington politics. He will stand up to a reckless president who is putting our warriors in harm’s way in a war of choice in Iran. I am proud to support Chris Pappas for U.S. Senate because I believe New Hampshire needs a senator who will serve the people of this state — not Donald Trump.”
“I’ve been a Republican all my adult life. This year I registered Undeclared. In 2024, John Sununu called Donald Trump a loser. Now he’s running as Trump’s endorsed candidate, and he says he would have voted for Trump’s law that cut Medicaid. John knows better. He’s going along anyway. That has to stop, and it stops with our vote,” said Sarah Stewart. “Chris Pappas is running to represent New Hampshire, not Donald Trump. That’s why I’m proud to support him on November 3rd.”
