Prescott, Noveletsky, Bright, and Levasseur Try to Hide from Their Extremist Anti-Abortion Records on Dobbs Anniversary, While Pappas Continues Advocacy on Behalf of Women’s Right to Choose
ICYMI - Today, on the two-year anniversary of the Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade and opened the door for draconian abortion restrictions in states across the nation, extremist Republican candidates running to represent New Hampshire’s first district are trying to run from their unpopular, radical anti-abortion stances.
Russell Prescott supported the Dobbs decision, which has paved the way for anti-choice restrictions on essential health care at the state level across the country, including extremist New Hampshire Republicans’ proposal of a dangerous 15-day abortion ban in the state.
Hollie Noveletsky proudly stated the Supreme Court “got it right” when they ruled in the Dobbs case, overturning 50 years of settled precedent and cruelly stripping women of their right to make their own health care decisions.
Chris Bright has also fallen in line with his extremist party’s anti-choice agenda, saying he is “open” to a nationwide abortion ban.
Joe Kelly Levasseur has clearly distinguished himself as a devotee of former President Donald Trump, the architect of the extreme Dobbs decision who has expressed support for a nationwide abortion ban and said that women should be punished for having abortions.
“Despite their best efforts, Russell Prescott, Hollie Noveletsky, Chris Bright, and Joe Kelly Levasseur cannot rewrite history or run from their anti-choice extremism,” said Kristen Morris, Chris Pappas for Congress Campaign Manager. “Every Republican candidate in this race applauded the extreme Dobbs decision that stripped millions of Americans of their most basic rights. Their records are clear - all of these candidates are anti-choice and would support radical restrictions on reproductive care. Any statement to the contrary is nothing more than a cheap lie to hide their deeply unpopular and extreme agenda from voters. The overwhelming majority of Granite Staters support a woman’s right to choose, and make no mistake - they will hold these Republican candidates accountable for their extremism in November.”
While the entire Republican field of candidates applauded the Dobbs decision and its cruel restriction of reproductive freedom, Congressman Chris Pappas has been tirelessly advocating for a woman’s right to make her own decisions about her body, her life, her family, and her future.
Pappas, a member of the House Pro-Choice Caucus, has repeatedly called on Congress to codify Roe v. Wade and supported the Women’s Health Protection Act, the Right to Contraception Act, the My Body My Data Act, and the Reproductive Freedom Act, all of which would safeguard reproductive health care and women’s rights.
