Prescott, Noveletsky, and Bright Devolve Into Infighting, Reveal MAGA Extremist Agendas and Corrupt Dealings at First GOP Congressional Debate

ICYMI - Today, the extremist Republican candidates running to represent New Hampshire’s first district finally unmasked what we all know to be true: they are anti-choice, anti-women, anti-worker and care more about the ego of former President Trump than doing what’s right for New Hampshire.

“While the Republican candidates devolve into petty attacks on one another and chaotic infighting, Congressman Pappas is focused on getting things done for the people of New Hampshire and working across the aisle to address the critical issues facing Granite Staters,” said Kristen Morris, Chris Pappas for Congress Campaign Manager.

Read highlights from the debate below:

Hollie Noveletsky admitted she attempted to bribe state lawmakers into passing legislation that would benefit her steel business and personal fortune. When confronted about past campaign contributions to Democrats, she said, “I paid to play, I gave a thousand dollars to each of them to get my Buy American bill passed.”

This is corruption - plain and simple. Granite Staters deserve better.

Russell Prescott rushed to claim credit for his work passing anti-choice restrictions in the state, and touted his record of placing extremist politicians in the middle of personal health care decisions between women and their doctors. He said, “I was the champion of parental notification on the Senate floor and made it pass.”

Not stopping there, he also unmasked himself as vehemently anti-worker, and in the pocket of extreme anti-labor groups, saying “the president in charge of right to work wrote me a personal check to help me win this race.”

Chris Bright revealed that he would be nothing more than a Trump lackey if voters send him to the U.S. House, and would prioritize Trump’s ego at the expense of New Hampshire working families. He said, “I fully support Trump,” and “I think his policies are absolutely on point, and I support every one of his policies.” Chris Bright in no uncertain terms aligned himself directly with Donald Trump - that means a cruel national abortion ban, extremist rejection of our most basic democratic ideals and institutions, and harsh restriction of the rights and freedoms of Granite Staters and people across the country. Make no mistake, Bright is too extreme for New Hampshire.

Policies that Trump has expressed support for, which Bright has now fully endorsed and would help Trump execute if given the chance, include:

  • Instituting a national abortion ban, and punishing pregnant women who seek abortions.

  • Eliminating essential health care for LGBTQ+ communities.

  • Pardoning those who orchestrated and participated in the brutal terrorist attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, that left five dead and hundreds wounded, including 140 members of law enforcement.

  • Instituting an extreme economic plan that nonpartisan experts say would raise costs for working families and lead to an economic crisis.
