NH-01 GOP Candidates Use Final Primary Debates to Double Down on MAGA Extremism, Refuse to Articulate Any Plan to Help NH Families
ICYMI - The Republican candidates for Congress in NH-01 traded petty jabs and extremist right-wing talking points in their last debates of the primary Thursday and Friday, squandering their final chances to actually articulate a plan to help New Hampshire working families. With only three days left until the primary election, these candidates continue to flounder with nothing but devotion to an anti-democratic, unpopular, extremist former president and regurgitation of anti-choice, radical talking points.
Check out the highlights:
All of these extremist candidates again wholeheartedly endorsed the disastrous Dobbs decision that stripped Granite State women of their fundamental rights and paved the way for extremist politicians to pass draconian abortion bans restricting a woman’s right to choose.
Russell Prescott again underlined his willingness to cut Granite Staters’ social security benefits if elected to Congress. He asserted that he would balance the budget in Washington just like he did in the state senate, where he voted to raise the retirement age and deprive hardworking seniors of their hard-earned benefits.
Hollie Noveletsky doubled down on her corrupt dealings, refusing to take accountability for her admission of doing “pay to play” and attempting to bribe state lawmakers to pass legislation that would benefit her business and personal fortune.
Chris Bright threw a hail-mary in hopes of saving his floundering campaign by… endorsing ending birthright citizenship.
Joe Kelly Levasseur further unmasked his anti-democratic MAGA extremism to voters when he refused to say that Vice President Mike Pence did the right thing by certifying the electoral votes on January 6th. This blatant refusal to condemn the violent mob that assaulted police officers and staged a violent attack on our most fundamental democratic processes is frightening and un-American.
The bottom line: all of these anti-choice, anti-working families, and anti-democracy candidates are too extreme for New Hampshire.
