As a lifelong resident of Manchester and a proud product of Manchester public schools, Chris Pappas is grounded in his community and focused on the issues that matter most to Granite Staters.

Before serving in Congress, Chris was a full-time small business owner of his family’s restaurant in Manchester, the Puritan Backroom. He served his community as an Executive Councilor where he fought for critical initiatives like passing Medicaid expansion, defending essential reproductive health care funding, and combating the opioid crisis.

Chris is serving his third term in Congress and sits on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and the Small Business Committee where he brings the voices of Granite Staters to Washington and forges bipartisan solutions. He was recently named the most bipartisan House Democrat by the nonpartisan Lugar Center in recognition of his tireless commitment to reaching across the aisle to deliver on the issues most important to Granite Staters.

Chris is focused on lowering costs for hardworking families, protecting Granite Staters’ personal freedoms including a woman’s right to choose, delivering for New Hampshire veterans, supporting small businesses, and defending critical programs like Social Security and Medicare.

He lives in Manchester with his husband, Vann.
