One Year Since Campaign Launch, Chris Pappas Is Fighting to Lower Costs for Granite Staters, Take on Corporate Special Interests

MANCHESTER, NH — One year since launching his campaign for U.S. Senate, Congressman Chris Pappas is highlighting his efforts to lower costs for Granite Staters and take on corporate special interests making it harder for New Hampshire families to get by.
“One year ago, I launched this campaign because New Hampshire deserves a Senator willing to stand up to the Trump Administration and take on the tough fights against corporate special interests that are making it harder for folks to get ahead. My opponents, Scott Brown and John Sununu, would be a rubber stamp for Donald Trump’s policies — from his costly tariffs to the war in Iran, and Granite Staters deserve better,” said Congressman Chris Pappas. “I’ll always put New Hampshire first and I’ll work with anyone to deliver for the Granite State.”
Since launching his campaign one year ago today, Pappas has traveled across New Hampshire, meeting with thousands of Granite Staters, across all 10 New Hampshire counties, to discuss the issues making it more difficult for them to get by:
- In Conway, Pappas met with Granite State health care providers at White Mountain Community Health Center to discuss how Republican health care cuts are affecting their patients and operations;
- In Manchester, Pappas sat down with local parents and community members to discuss rising grocery bills straining their household budgets;
- In Derry, Pappas hosted a veterans town hall, taking questions on everything from Trump’s war in Iran to the Republican affordability crisis;
- Pappas is pushing to suspend the national gas tax to deliver relief at the pump and put money back into the pockets of Granite Staters;
- And unlike his Republican opponents he’s fighting to end the Trump Administration’s costly tariff taxes.
In January, Chris Pappas for Senate launched its Tax Cuts and Lower Costs Blueprint, a multi-month effort outlining Chris’s efforts to address rising costs. From energy to health care to groceries and more, Chris Pappas will work with anyone to deliver for New Hampshire, and he will take on anyone who makes it harder for Granite Staters to get ahead.
While Republicans continue to make the cost-of-living crisis worse, Pappas is running to take on corporate special interests and stop corporate greed and political corruption. He refuses to take corporate PAC money and is leading efforts to ban members of Congress from trading stocks.
Since launch, Pappas has also secured endorsements from: North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, Teamsters Local 633, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 104, 490, 2071, 1837 and 2320, International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) DC 35, NH Building Trades Council, Heat & Frost Insulators Local 6, American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Reproductive Freedom for All, Brady PAC, End Citizens United, League Of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund and more.
