Congressman Chris Pappas Files to Run for the United States Senate

CONCORD, N.H. — Running on his record of working with anyone to help Granite Staters get ahead and taking on anyone to do what’s best for New Hampshire, Congressman Chris Pappas today filed to run for the United States Senate at the New Hampshire Secretary of State’s office in Concord.

“Right now, too many Granite State families feel like they’re falling behind. Costs are too high, health care is under attack, and Washington is working for powerful corporate special interests, not the American people,” said Congressman Chris Pappas. “That’s why I’m running for the United States Senate — to take on those big fights for Granite Staters and stand up to the Trump Administration’s reckless agenda that is making everyday life more expensive and difficult. In Congress, I’ve delivered real results for New Hampshire: capping insulin costs, expanding care and benefits for our veterans, and taking on political corruption and corporate greed in Washington. I’m honored that the people of New Hampshire have trusted me to fight for them, I’m proud of what we have accomplished together, and I’m going to continue this fight in the U.S. Senate.”

Earlier today, Congressman Pappas discussed his record of delivering for Granite Staters on New Hampshire radio. Yesterday, he stopped by Milford Pride and met with local leaders in Somersworth and Concord to talk about the challenges communities and small businesses are facing because of the Trump Administration’s tariffs and war with Iran.

Chris Pappas is in this race because New Hampshire deserves a Senator grounded in the people and places of this state. Born and raised in Manchester, Chris knows what it means to serve at every level: from the local ice cream counter to the Executive Council to the halls of Congress.

Chris understands that the system is rigged against hardworking Granite Staters, which is why he’s fighting to stop Trump’s tariffs that are driving up costs for consumers and small businesses and opposed Trump’s budget that slashed Medicaid to fund billions in handouts to Big Pharma, Big Oil, and the ultrawealthy. Chris will work with anyone to ensure that Granite Staters can not only get by, but get ahead — and he’ll take on anyone to do what’s best for New Hampshire.
