MANCHESTER, N.H. — Sixty-one years after Medicare and Medicaid were signed into law allowing Americans to access affordable health care, Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress have worked to undermine these programs and put health care out of reach for thousands of Granite Staters.
New reporting from the Wall Street Journal this week exposes how the Trump Administration plans to raise prescription drug costs for seniors on Medicare Part D. This comes just one year after Republicans made massive cuts to Medicaid in Trump’s Big, Ugly Bill, taking health care away from more than 17,000 Granite Staters and affecting at least seven New Hampshire health care providers that have closed, are closing, have announced cuts or report being at risk of closure.
