ICYMI: WMUR, C-SPAN Highlight the NH SEA/SEIU 1984 ’s Endorsement of Chris Pappas for Senate

CONCORD, N.H. — In case you missed it, WMUR and C-SPAN recently covered the New Hampshire State Employees’ Association (SEA)/Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1984’s endorsement of Congressman Chris Pappas’s campaign for U.S. Senate.

Chris Pappas has been a fierce advocate for New Hampshire’s labor unions and working Granite Staters in Congress, working to pass legislation like the PRO Act that protects workers’ right to organize. He has also been endorsed by New Hampshire unions across industries, including the Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire, Teamsters Local 633, the New Hampshire Building and Construction Trades Council, IBEWs across New Hampshire, the AFT-New Hampshire, North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, Heat and Frost Insulators Local 6, and IUPAT DC 35.

Pappas is running for U.S. Senate to ensure that the hardworking Granite Staters who keep our economy and our state strong have the support and tools they need to negotiate fair contracts and hold employers to account.

WMUR: Pappas picks up Employees’ Association endorsement in NH Senate race

  • Democrat Chris Pappas has picked up an endorsement from the state Employees’ Association for his run for Senate.
  • Pappas met with union officials Thursday at SEIU 1984 in Concord.
  • The union highlighted his work on Capitol Hill on a bill that would expedite collective bargaining in the U.S.
  • “When unions are strong, the middle class is strong,” Pappas said. “It’s how you can make people’s lives better.”
  • This adds to Pappas’ list of union endorsements, including Teamsters Local 633 and the New Hampshire Building and Construction Trades Council.

  • U.S. Senate Candidate Rep. Chris Pappas (D-NH) met with local labor leaders and accepted their endorsement ahead of the Sept. 8, 2026 primary election. Rep. Pappas said the endorsement was an “important stamp of approval” for his campaign.
